March 29th 2025: Viewers should note that this document appears to be no longer Scouting Ireland policy. On March 12th we were contacted by the Communications Manager asking that this document be removed as it is no longer filed at ISSU.COM We asked if they could let us know why it was being withdrawn and where could we direct anyone who has a query about the matters covered. This request was forwarded to the Safeguarding Manager who responded to say that they do not provide such information to non-official websites. It has since emerged that that a new Safeguarding Policy (or policies) have been drafted, so perhaps that is why this publication is being withdrawn.
